Harbor-UCLA Medical Center

Dear Roberto,

I want to thank you so much for the wonderful service you provide to our Pediatric outpatient clinic and more specifically to the Child Life Department. The mobile playroom has allowed me to provide various types of arts and craft projects to the patients staying in clinic for long periods of time usually receiving chemo. I also give art projects to the hematology patients receiving blood transfusions at the blood donor center. There is a nice selection of board games and card games which the patients can use as well while they are waiting. In many cases, the patient has siblings who come along to the doctor visit, so the activities are shared among all. This allows for friendly interaction among family members doing an activity which they enjoy. It also prevents boredom during the lengthy doctor visits and helps to take the patient’s mind off the treatments or procedures.

The generosity of your foundation and donors is outstanding, especially since you provide this wonderfully stocked cart free of charge to the hospitals.

I am ever so grateful.

Sincerely,
